Our club operates to serve all those who love soccer at SUNY Stony Brook. Whether you are a skilled futbolista, a soccer novice, or an avid spectator, Stony Brook University Men’s Soccer Club has a place for you.
This coming academic year (Fall ’18- Spring ’19) the SBU Men’s Club Soccer Team will be competing in the NY/NJ Metro Division of the Region One Collegiate Club Soccer League. The team will have weekly training to ensure we are prepared for the tough challenges that we will face over the course of our season.
The goal of the club on the competitive level is to qualify for the regional tournament that is held in a different location every year. This year’s tournament will be held in Delaware. We have made this our number one goal since we seem to just fall short by a game every season. We are also looking to make it back to the Men’s Club Soccer National Tournament.
Tryouts for this upcoming season will be held the first week of classes (the week of August 28). We will host tryouts over three days: August 28 from 8-10 pm, August 29 from 7-9 pm, and August 30 from 8-10 pm. Tryouts will be held at South P field, about a 7 minute bus ride from the center of campus (take the express loop from the SAC to South P lot).
We are looking to set up a table at one of the first night out events to answer any questions in person so keep an eye out for our table if you are interested. again, we will update when we get more information.
